  • The search for the best narrow convertible car seats is one that many people have to struggle with. As more and more safety features have been added to car seats over the years, they have had a tendency to get wider and wider at the same time. For those that need to be able to fit 3 kids in a row on the back seat of their vehicles, this can be a real headache.

What about baby in 2nd row and olders outboard in 3rd row. They can both see baby but not touch.

Our youngest rides in a scerena and she is almost 2. She has no issues with the less padding. We use infant seats to begin with, but only use for 6w-4m depending on the child. Our babies a large.

Are you a baby wearer? I love my sling, so I didn't always use the infant seat as a carrier.

Thanks so much, everyone! So many things I didn't know. Having the infant on one side will most likely solve all the problems, leaving at least a couple of options for the other kids. Now I'm looking at Evenflo's Tribute 5. Different sites list different widths, but it still looks narrower than most others. I like it better than the Scenera, and it's not much more expensive. Just let me know if there's something I need to know about the Tribute 5. Otherwise, I feel pretty good about the whole thing, thanks to you all.
