  • Between road-trips, carpools and a million errands, kids spend many hours of their life buckled up in the car. Our recent Summer road-trip inspired me to create a DIY Lap Tray that could work for crafts, activities, snacks and even a nap on-the-go. Ready to learn how to make a DIY Travel Lap Tray? • The Snack and Play® Travel Tray is ideal for short and long trips. Use the Travel Tray anywhere you go with your car seat, even airplanes! Travel tray makes a great gift. Snack and Play® Travel Tray can be purchased through our retail network.

The Snack and Play® Travel Tray is made of a soft, durable, 100% Nylon. It includes buckles either around the child or the stroller, has large mesh storage pockets on the side and a 2 inch wall to stop food and toys form falling to the floor

  • Kids' Car Organizer XL
    We love this one!
Here's an option for bigger kids that doubles as a storage unit for all their car travel activities and all that stuff that is usually rolling around on the floor!  There is a smaller version of this available, but don't bother with it -- it doesn't hold enough stuff and is a waste of space.

The nifty lid us used as an activity tray, and it has raised edges so small items don't roll all over the place.

The unit is seat-belted in to make it secure, and has a carrying strap.

    Back Seat Organizer "Car Valet"
    with travel tray for kids
Here is another option to a car seat travel tray. It's a car valet that helps your child keep his things organized and it has a fold down tray area.
    Taby Tray
If you think your child might prefer a hard plastic type of car seat tray, the Taby Tray is an option. There are no side pockets for toys though, so you might also consider a car organizer to sit along side your child so they will have access to their toys and other items.

“Latest use for Travel Tray: Airplane picnic basket. I packed mine with plastic bags of crackers, cheese, fruit, etc., and pulled the drawstring shut. On the plane I took it out and folded the top back, so my food was sitting in it instead of on the tray table, and when I was done I could just close it up again with the leftovers and cracker crumbs and pop it back in my carry-on.

She used it to play with her toys, color, eat her snacks and watch the portable DVD player. Huge success! If you have a car-seat bound kid, we really recommend that you don’t leave home on a multi-hour car trip without a Road Trip Travel Tray!
